ABOUT

I have a drive to positively impact disadvantaged communities’ lives by creating a safer, cleaner and healthier environment for them to strive in. Motivated by my upbringing, I hope to one day apply all my professional experiences to help my hometown become an environmentally sustainable community.
I enjoy problem-solving and design thinking. Understanding processes and documenting what works and doesn't work fuels my curiosity. My 2+ years of experience in managing projects and leading teams for a variety of advocacy work has helped me gain the knowledge and networks needed to gain an understanding of how to alleviate the impoverished conditions that my hometown faces.
Seeing and learning about the existence of disadvantaged communities hits very close to home. Out of the many adolescents in my community, I was one of the few to be able to receive a higher education. This knowledge also hits very close to home. Furthermore, being the first in my immigrant family to receive a college diploma completely hits home.
I am confident in the fact that I have endured a childhood filled with constant deficiencies (whether it was for nutritious food, stable home, friendly neighborhood, decent education, good health, or secure income) because I am meant to take this understanding and give back what my community deserves. To take back what was kept from us for such a long time.
